I’m Martine Rohlfing, founder of The N.I.C.E. Foundation.N.I.C.E. was built from lived experience — shaped by housing instability, financial hardship, disability, and the reality of how easily people can fall through the cracks.

Before I was writing proposals or studying zoning laws, I was simply someone who loved old places, quiet land, animals, and the feeling that history still matters.I created N.I.C.E. because I believe communities deserve more than survival — they deserve stability, dignity, and opportunity.

Through historic preservation, land stewardship, and community-led development, this work is about restoring not just places — but possibility.
